I am Angel Brown, Founder of Angel Brown Speaks. A positive motivational platform focused on development of business leaders, mentorship of future leaders, and training and development of sales teams and sales acumen. Angel launched her business in 2018. It was in November 2019 after being released from her corporate position as Market President for iHeart Media, that she began working as a female entrepreneur full time. Stepping out on faith, she knew her value and purpose in life span beyond the corporate doors and glass ceilings.
Prior to moving to Hampton Roads, Angel managed 5 radio station in Mobile, Al and 7 radio stations in Albany, Ga as Vice President of Sales and Market President at Cumulus Broadcasting. Prior to her career in radio, Angel was Senior Account Executive at NBC affiliate Channel 10.

Angel has been wildly successful in the broadcast industry building lasting relationships over the course of 18 years in multiple states. She is a certified as a manager in the radio industry by Radio Advertising Bureau. She graduated from Rising through the Ranks management training by Radio Advertising Bureau, Broadcast Music, Inc and Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio. Angel has been featured in trade magazine Radio Ink as a Future African American Leader in Radio in 2014, 2016 and 2019.

In addition to her career Angel believes in volunteer and mentoring. She has served as board member of United Way of Southwest Ga and the Sybil Smith Domestic Violence Foundation. Angel spearheaded the national literacy campaign under the National Programming initiative of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She has also chaired 3 Beautillion Miliatiare events supporting high school males in the Albany, Ga and Mobile Al. areas. In 2016, Angel was awarded Power with a Purpose award in recognition for her work in the community, creating a Community Christmas Party providing over 700 toys to under privilege children in the area. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and has sat in many positions including social action. Angel has been recognized as community leader by Pastor Jeremiah Wright and Pastor Fleet Bell of Rock of Faith Ministries in Mobile, Al. Angel has always been active in her church. She attends Mount Lebanon under the leadership of Bishop KW Brown and Valerie K Brown. She serves as a facilitator of SEED - Seeing Evidence Every Day.

Angel is a Communications graduate and English Literature graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans and she is 5 classes away from receiving her Master’s Degree in Marketing Management for University of Maryland Global Campus with a graduation date of December 2020. Angel is the wife of James Derek Brown.

Angel believes God has given her an opportunity while here on earth to do great things. A gift she doesn’t take lightly. But for Angel, her greatest gift is the gift of being a mom to her 18 year old son, Anthony Taylor. She knows, he is the best part of her.
Of all the accomplishments in Angel’s life, they all pale in comparison to raising a successful child, one who is coming into his own and growing into the man God intended him to be.
